Plain Jane

Plain Jane,
They don’t even care to know her name.
She’s invisible to them,
Because she dresses with dignity.
Which to them is;
Old fashioned,
Uncommon.
She tries to find love,
In this shallow pool.
Where no one goes deep,
Dives deep,
To see the heart beneath.
She’s the girl he missed out on.
The girl that would have made his world
An explosion of color,
Of life and laughter,
An overflowing splendor.
But he missed her.
Too busy looking at her voluptuous neighbor,
To see her.
As she passes by,
She takes with her,
Every smile,
That was meant to light his world.
Every giggle,
That would make his heart pull.
Plain Jane.
He won’t even know her name.
